Seriously??

I’m sitting here feeling bad because I’m taking up the space of 4 people (hey–this textbook is REALLY big) and in comes “The Jewish Divorcee/Widowee Group.” Commence tables moving, chairs scraping, excuse me’s being thrown around the room like a football at a Super Bowl party… and 15 minutes later the entire restaurant is now their domain.

GEEZ. I’m sorry that I’m not divorced!! (actually, I am. so there.) I’m just here to do work! Yes, you can have that chair. No, you cannot have the 1 of the 2 tables I’m sitting at or the chair my coat is on. Yes, I’m listening to everything you say while appearing to ignore you. And yes, I’m preparing an email to the General Manager who clearly forgot to notify other Paying Customers that want to eat/be sane in this restaurant.

So, why don’t I leave? Quite simply: Free {refills on} Coffee & Free Internet. Basically, I’d sit through the 3rd World War for that. Or, that annoying family that just came in with six kids under the age of 5. Maybe.

p.s. Also, I’m eating a chocolate-chip bagel. Yes, I did say CHOCOLATE CHIP. Mmmmmm. And I didn’t have to pay an arm & a leg for it, or even an arm only. More like one little bitty finger that I don’t really use anyway.

seriously, there are few things worse in the world than christmas lights. for any reason you give me that they are “good” (they make me happy; the bright lights remind me of goodness & joy, yippee!), i can give you ten reasons why they’re bad. bad for the environment. bad for the economy. bad for my eyesight. bad for the way your house looks.

the one thing that IS actually worse than christmas lights, is christmas lights being hung during the weekend of thanksgiving, before our turkey scraps have even hit the compost bin. i mean, i can’t stand thanksgiving, but i like it better than christmas lights. so, at least, can we enjoy our gluttonous, empirical holiday without being reminded of how all of america are big fat capitalist hypocrites, who stole a religious holiday in order to make {even more} money off of it?

GAWD, with a capital G, A, W & D. somebody give me the # for bournewood; i need to program it into my phone before my downstairs neighbors put a fat man in a sled on our rooftops.

I wrote a total of 4798748670876 blog entries in various airports this weekend…however, due to actually having to return home…in place of writing them all up, I instead must tend to “real life”. {not that the argument could not be made that blogging is in fact a portrayal of “real life”, since this morning I wanted to tell my Advisor that yes, I am in fact seeing a therapist…and her name happens to be My. Blog}.

Luckily, I have a massive deadline looming in two weeks…plenty of time for procrastinative blogging.

hallmark commercial NO tears…qualitative research articles on trauma…CHECK.
